Still, after such a disastrous third part, the series died (along with Michael Crichton, author of the original novels- it was his death that prompted the cancellation of part 4). I think it should stay dead. Making part 4 would be like remaking Jaws or adding Jaws 5 to the list of dreadful sequels. I think it should just be left alone.

Thats a fair point alright but I still think that children may think its the best thing ever invented , people our age probably taught the first was rubbish when it came out.

No, the original was extremely popular. It broke box-office records until Titanic crushed those records. I don't think children, though, would really enjoy the movies. The recent installment was obviously geared towards a teenage audience who just wanted a lot of pointless, mindless action. I'd say the average "new fan" sees the films around 12 years of age.

Wow I was not aware it was that amazing, thanks for informing me, you put me in my place Thats fair enough, I suppose some films do drag on through too many sequels

Ha yes very true Jaws is a perfect example of something that wont just die There are a few that aren't like that, Die Hard is still great, the Alien film's I still enjoy, there are greats out there.

Great movie with great special effects. I loved it. Filmed in Queensland, Austrlia near Tamborine Mountain. I spent a lot of time there and it's really that nice. Goldbloom was great in this film. Loved it.
