Default Blu-Ray vs. HD DVD: Which one do you prefer?

Just wondering.
Which high-definition DVD format do you prefer? HD or Blu-Ray.
Which DVD player would you buy? One that supports HD or one that supports Blu-Ray???
I have not made up my mind yet.
Which one do you think I should get????

This page has a nice article about the difference between the two and which players accept which. Check it out.

I would choose Blue Ray because it is supported on the hardware side like Hitachi and LG. Computer has also announced support for Blu-ray.
Both Blu-ray and HD-DVD will support both recording and playback of high definition material with the same expected result, in terms of video and audio quality

I preferred bluray from the beginning since I had a playstation 3. Now the choice has been made for everyone since HDDVD has been defeated. Microsoft could have done a better job at promoting HDDVD by including the drive by default in their xbox 360's rather than as an add on.

My bluray collection is growing month by month. Now I need a bigger TV 40" 1080i just doesn't cut it anymore.

Red face movies

My dvd player broke recently. I've been trying to decide which player to purchase; dvd or blue-ray. I appreciate this post. I've decided on the blue-ray, because the imaging is fabulous

I hate the thought of switching to blu ray as cheap as dvds are. However, as in life change is inevitable.
