I would like to know your opinion on where you stand on movies that are copied/burned. Would you buy a dvd of a movie that is still in the theaters?

Nope. I dont feel in my personal opinion that this should be done. The people that make the movie deserve the right to be paided for their work just like anyone else. Buying bootleg dvds takes away from their pay. I guess people feel like well they are rich blah blah they dont need anymore money, but they work damn hard for thier money just like anyone else. I want the original dvd quality movie not some bootleg copy.

Pirated DVDs are too low-quality for me to bother spending money on. If I like a movie enough to own it, then I want the real thing. (Besides, the MPAA would have us believe that buying pirated DVDs supports terrorism - I dunno, but I'm sure most of the sellers engage in other criminal enterprises.)

One thing we need pirated DVDs for is the hilarious covers and subtitles, though. When those make their way onto the internet, it's always good for a laugh.

I don't morally object to piracy because of the studios, who are getting enough money already without passing it along to the artists. I think that piracy (mostly internet piracy) has led to DVDs being pimped out with all those extra features to keep people buying. The companies should be courting our favor rather than counting on us to blindly spend money on their products, so in that way, we've all benefited.

I agree that we should not watch copied movies, but original dvds are too expensive, they should find a way to increase their profit with low original dvd prices

I used to watch movies at movieforumz before they had to change the site for legal reasons.

I generally don't think you should support piracy, nomatter the quality. I don't think I have ever heard a single argument that changed my opinion about piracy. At least pirates should acknowledge what they are doing a wrong and morally irresponsible.

Only if that was the only way of seeing the movie (say, if it was a foreign film that wouldn't be released here). Otherwise I avoid them like the plague.

I think this thread is funny seeing as how there is a forum here like this talk-movies.com/watch-movies-online/

Personally i feel that forum should be deleted. Pirating is just as good as stealing.
