This movie is based on the story of the first major battle of the American phase of the Vietnam War and the soldiers on both sides that fought it. It showcases the grim realities of war and the nature of fighting in Vietnam. If it had not been for the introduction and use of helicopters then the Americans would have lost that war long long ago. There are various ups and downs in the story which can put a strain on ones emotional being but overall its full of action. The very fact that those events happened in real life is enough to increase one's interest and attention for the movie. Mel Gibson does well in playing the role of Lt. Col. Hal Moore. Fans of war movies must see this flick to believe what i am saying. It is a good watch.
