I think TV shows are like tastes in food. There are too many different possible types to realistically be able to suggest an objectively good show to someone.
For example, though I love LOST and I share that taste with a lot of people, I get funny looks when I buy an entire season of Stargate, which I like even more than LOST. (i didn't discover SG-1 or Atlantis until about 2 years ago when I was bored without a tv and decide to download amazon unbox episodes).
If there were to be a kind of a dynamic popup that appears when I glide my mouse over your name, and I learned a little more about you, Omi, such as favorite movies or hobbies, than I'd be able to suggest something.
After all of that rigaromole, I'll go ahead and violate my own explanation above and tell what you I think are objectively good tv shows:
LOST,
Arrested Development (funny beyond belief, but it may not be funny to someone else, but I'd betcha it is to most)
Grey's Anatomy (i don't watch, it looks really good, many people love it, but I'm already hooked on too many shows as it is),
E.R. (i don't watch, it looks really good, many people love it, but I'm already hooked on too many shows as it is),
Six Feet Under (currently netflix'ing)
