Default 3:10 to Yuma

So my dad used to watch black and white westerns when I was a kid. Naturally when 3:10 to Yuma came out I had to go see it. It was kind of curious movie. I'm not sure that I really understood the ending.

Maybe it was too deep for a Western...

I think that is very good western. Bale and Crowe are playing very nice characters. I have seen it just a few days ago because here in Spain was released a week ago, one year after the release in USA, maybe because of some troubles with distributors.

Regards,

I thought 3:10 to Yuma was great. The bad guy pretty much predicted everything that would happen, and in his own way he did have some integrity.

I loved 3:10 to Yuma. I loved Crowe's Ben Wade and Christian Bale was surprisingly a decent actor in this film sort of-- against his cardboard like recent appearances. ;_;

Upping this thread because 3:10 to Yuma definitely needs more love for the masterpiece it is.

And how can you forget Ben Foster as Charlie Prince?

lol my favorite part with Charlie Prince

Kane: [interrupting him] Did you see The Hand of God?
Charlie Prince: What's that?
Kane: His pistol.
Butterfield: Why the hell didn't you do something?
Charlie Prince: They had a lot of weapons mister... and they were shootin' bullets.

It's one of the best westerns and best all-around movies I've seen in a long time. That's largely due to the outstanding performances by the cast, ably led by the alpha male, bad guy, Russell Crowe. The action is virtually non-stop which makes for a compelling, exciting story. This is one movie that any lover of westerns or anyone simply longing for a good movie with good acting will not want to miss. The two hours will go by in the blink of an eye and you'll be wishing there was more.

I did watch this movie last night and I'm so glad to stumble upon such a gem.
Directed by James Mangold, 3:10 To Yuma is a masterpiece in direction and screenplay.
The stellar performances by Russell Crowe,Christian Bale and Ben Foster playing Ben Wade,Dan Evans and Charlie Prince respectively stole the hearts of western movie lovers.

Some elements near the end of movie though didn't quite fit well..Like Dan and Wade dodging the bullets from so many guns and not even a single bullet made its way to any of both untill the last part.I personally think theres been some aggravation from the moviemakers.

Also,I like unpredictability and the way the movie ends is higly unpredictable to me. But on the other hand,I was 100 % predictable of William Evans that he will not shoot Ben Wade just like Ben Wade will shoot Charlie.....So here again couldn't something much more dramatic interjected ???
what u think?
