I wonder if any of you ‘movie buffs’ out there can help me track down the movie – a Western –from which the following, half remembered scene comes from. (The film is probably no later than 1960 and is most likely to be early 50’s.)

It goes like this:

A wagon has been attacked in the desert and one of the surrviving cowboys has been left to die under the blazing sun, tied to one of the wheels.
Another cowboy comes along and finds him in a terrible state. Realising he is too far gone to be helped he places a revolver in the man’s still bound hand. The is a shot (off camera) and we know the cowboy has put an end to his own torment.

Any ideas anyone – this has bugged me for years!!!
