My vote would be for CLINT EASTWOOD. I think he is a class above the rest. A true cowboy!I Don't think there is anyone in the West who can out-gun him!!

I never liked the genre, but now with 3:10 to Yuma, I start changing my mind.

Hands Down,Clint,his westerns I feel were more true to the time,gritty,in-polite and rough.I've seen plenty of John Wayne westerns where they rode on horse back for days on end and they were still clean shaven,and plenty of parts where people get shot and not a drop of blood is seen.Gotta be a little more realism in it for me.I love the cinematography in his old spaghetti westerns and I think some of today's people like Quinton Tarintino try to mimic that feel.
