Who do you consider to be the greatest Western movie actor: John Wayne, Clint Eastwood or who else??
It's a though one for me to say. They both had that cowboy look. They both looked though.
Well, let's see what you guys think?

That one is easy. Clint Eastwood, because he acts. John Wayne pretty much plays John Wayne. He has a good, "Thank you, ma'am" drawl, though.

I really like both of them but I don't feel that I can say one is better than the other. There is a separate acting style for each of them, both being good in their own ways, so I have to say I think they are equal in my opinion.

As far as westerns go I have always liked both Wayne and Eastwood more than any of the others. Me and my wife have watched The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Good the Bad and the Ugly and Rooster Cogburn within just the last couple weeks. Yes, I have seen them quite a few times over the years but I still think those old westerns are the best. Just like nikki said, though, I cant say which one I like better.

Nah...it's definitely got to be Clint Eastwood...not just because of Westerns, but also because he's taken his career steps further than that.

I have to agree with most of you. Clint
Eastwood is my favourite western movie actor.
For me he just represents the original cowboy.

I would also vote for Clint Eastwood.
His style, his looks, the way he talks makes him the perfect cowboy.

Clint Eastwood.

Wayne had the flaw of working with one of the worst "Classic" directors out there: John Ford, and Eastwood worked with the king of the Western (Sergio Leone, although Sergio Corbucci is competition), so that might be a factor.

I think my vote will go for good old Clint Eastwood. I think he had more of em cowboy material in him than any other guy down in the west
