I've seen fourteen of them. The ones that stand out in my memory are

"Unforgiven", which is the best of the bunch by far, "Shane", and "The Searchers".

What about "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"? Maybe it doesn't count because it was funny?

I've only seen High Noon, and it wasn't THAT interesting. Seven Samurai, the basis for the Magnificent Seven, was excellent, however.

Well, you haven't seen any "real" westerns. These movies are a MUST-see.
If you love westerns, you should definitly try to get your hands on these movies.

Not a very good list, lacking in enough of the (far superior) Spaghetti Westerns.

But as (mostly) American Westerns go I guess its a good list.
